Today Coatham House is based at Charles Jolly House; named in deference to the man who initiated the establishment of the project.
Coatham House continues in its original ethos, to support homeless young people. We offer support in various areas of life; focusing on both practical aspects of independent living and personal development. We also support our former residents, should they need it, to try and avoid tenancy breakdowns and if they’re in a time of need.
The housing related support services promote independent living skills for young people living in the Redcar & Cleveland area. We offer three types of services to homeless young people; Supported Accommodation, Stepping Stones and Outreach/Resettlement. In all these services a homeless young person is assigned a named Project Worker and has access to 24 hour on call support which is detailed below:
